Only the cellophane was left, licked clean.

Jesus, Abby. Your last lines are gold. Every time.

Plain cheesecake? I miss NY cheesecake desperately.

You are giving me permission to write and be ok with it not being lengthy. Your stories move in and sit with me. I see all the pictures and objects in them like I’m right there. I am delighted to have found you. Thanks to Roman Newell for sharing!

Thank you very much.

Really good to hear from you. And it's superb -- the Norweigan, the dog's licking the cellophane clean -- such details :)

Jan! How do you know it was the dogs that licked the cellophane clean!? - Right, @Abigail Thomas ?!

Abigail Thomas's avatar

because I didn't do it.

Jan Elisabeth's avatar

inferring from the dogs getting it all and then the licked clean cellophane ;)

Yesterday I ate a 1/4 of a watermelon, 1 vanilla scone a McDonald’s fakes ice cream cone and a Drumstick. I drank 2 La Croix pomegranate waters. I don’t give a rip about nutrition these days. I do worry about the safety of my money in the US banks. Augh!!! Researching Openbank Salamander today. It’s European.

Abigail Thomas's avatar

Sounds so healthy and delicious but why didn’t you eat the whole watermelon?? You can’t fuck money.

Tess Marshall's avatar

Cuz I’m a small person!!! But you can fuck up money🤣

HILARIOUS! Intentional? What comes next? Yesterday. ?? I think not but my thinking has been a little off of late. What comes next? The rest of today on my calendar and then, maybe, tomorrow.

Abigail Thomas's avatar

Tomorrow probably came and went but I think there’s another one coming up. Thank you.

My thinking has been disappearing too.

Makes me want a Norwegian. LOL

So happy to see an update! I was getting a little worried about the silence.

I've never kept a Norwegian in my tub, but I once kept some ducklings who lost their mother. But they were naked, other than feathers.

Depression does funny thing to your palate. I had avocado toast with miso, cottage cheese, onion and lox. I spread the bread with bacon grease first.

I’m glad this was written a hundred years ago—yesterday as a figure of speech, not a day on the calendar. Could a depressed person come up with that last line? Not sure. What I do know from long experience, thankfully not recent: Depression is boring as hell.

Welcome back. I’ve missed you.

Here I am, awake in the night, full-blown anxiety-attack, and wondering if I should get up and go eat porridge?

Though the sandwiches and cheesecake sounds more fun, if indigestible.

The dog is on the bed, my partner is camping somewhere in the wilds of Scotland and the dawn chorus is clearing it's throat..

I wonder if it is day or night with you lovely people?

Sorry you are feeling grim, glad you can write so brilliantly 😊

So wonderful to hear from you, lovely Abigail.I gained weight this winter. I blame it on a low mood and maybe cake and ice cream. I dunno!
