If this is about what I think it's about (crying for Roy being the clue I'm fixed on), I love the creativity. Bravo. A writer in one of my groups yesterday imagined a rather more violent and instant end. Many otherwise peaceful and spiritual people are sharing all kinds of imaginary scenarios now. That is if this is about what I think it's about.
Fantasy as protest. Writing as release. Satisfying, even if short-lived. Please know you are not alone. I will share this with my various groups. Just brilliant.
I don’t even know what this is but I love it. I mean I really love it. It’s weird and wonderful, and I started imagining what I thought was happening here which I’d be afraid to say in case I’m wrong. But it doesn’t matter because your mind is an incredible wonderland and I’m so glad I get to visit for a little while. This feels like a story Tim Burton should turn into a film. I would have said David Lynch, but alas.
Once again, terrific. It makes me want to have a hot dog, and I don't like hot dogs, maybe I'll vomit. Perhaps the ant does, I don't know. Love you always, P
Well, WOW!!! On the fourth reading, I “got” it. Sorry to be so slow, Abigail. It’s a WONDER of a protest piece. Thank you for the power and mystery and the happy anger.
I’m thinking of Beckett’s “Happy Days” but have actually never seen or read it, but the image is powerful. Maybe time to read it. The impotence/horror of a screaming head, body buried… Something primal here.

It is. I can’t march in protest anymore, too old now, this is tthe only tool I have. It makes me feel better for a little while, not long enough.

Thank you, Dorothy. Getting a lot of unsubscribers, so a like is very pleasant!
I marched for you Abby n AZ. Yes, ants vomit.
Abigail Thomas meets Stephen King. More please!
I am certain the ants vomited. :)
perfect applause to you for this, for your way
Yes. Congrats on its power. It means everything to me, deeply and across personal, that you wrote this and published it. Thanks.
A very different side of you—blew me right off my teeter totter.
Could this be considered Flash Fiction-- something I have been trying to ¨get.¨ Thanks anyone.
Oh Abby… I love this!!

I feel the same way but wasn’t brave enough to say so!! Thank you!
Wouldn't it be nice!

When the ants eat his face off, we will celebrate and we'll all get so drunk we'll bury the faceless corpse in our vomit. Pass it on.
