what to do with grief
Make something out of it. Use words, wood, stones, clay, bones. Use whatever’s handy. Use what you like. Use what you know nothing about yet. It doesn't have to be good, whatever good is, it just has to be yours, something that wouldn't exist if not for you, if not for your grief. Look around. Pay attention to what you notice. Now picture a small tornado, wending its way across your mind, picking up everything in its path, dropping it all in your lap. Filling your days. Use all of it.
