Beginning to feel quite tender towards oneself is such a profoundly intimate thought.

Quite spectacular to find old poems, Abigail. And profound…

I love every word Abby writes.

Thank you, Abby. That caused a quick mid-deep breath and then a deep, long, slow one. All the way in.

“attend/to my own needs while the moon continues to tug/at my blood and the tides continue to rise and fall”

Beautiful!

If you care, there is a way to get the lines in your poem to not be all spaced out. Pull down the edit menu at the far right and click on poetry.

I've been trying to write about the burden of absence, so you had me at the first line. I love everything about this piece!

Shoot, Abby, that is lovely, and you could string it across the page, and there you go - a sweet little CNF piece.

There are so many layers here to be impacted by. Favourite line:

"while the moon continues to tug

at my blood and the tides continue to rise and fall ..."

Relate hugely to all of this. You normalize so much of what I feel myself, Abigail.

Thank you so much for your writing - please look for other poems! xo
